Kinship with All Life
Anyone who spends time with animals knows that every once in a while, you have a special connection - an understanding that goes beyond words. That's what this little gem of a book by J. Allen Boone, written in 1954, is about. It's the story of how he learned to communicate with an extraordinary dog named Strongheart. Through this experience, he discovered that he could communicate with animals in general, large and small. The author's account of opening his mind and heart to the natural world is a delight to read. Each of those special moments of communication builds into a sensitivity to all life. |
